My Role

Joined as Lead Artist at Project M to help improve upon the existing version of the project. The goal was to make it more appealing, consistent, and fun.

My job consisted mainly of:

  • Discussing and proposing Art, Gameplay, and Metagame features with Product Manager, Publisher and CEO.

  • Being responsible for Art Direction, and Managing the Art Team, reviewing assets, organising schedule and processes, while maintaining clear communication with all teams involved to deliver with quality, flexibility and scalability.

  • Hands-on artwork in 3D and 2D, UI, UX, Animation, and FX.

Main achievements:

  • UI/UX Review - Redesign flow, visuals, hierarchy and organisation, to make the onboarding and overall player experience more consistent and clear. While at the same time, allowing room for new features and localisation.

  • In-Game Art Review - Updating game visuals to bring it to life, making it look fresh and more appealing to casual audiences. These changes include updating character's and environment visuals and animations, adding bright and colourful themes to levels, and completely redesigning the world map.

Tools used:
3ds Max, Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Unity 3D, and After Effects.
